Miyako island's General information −宮古島概要（私なりの）−

I started Couch Surfing in home town Kanazawa but it was very slow since it's not so famous place to visit.
After moved to Okinawa, finally I could be active CSr.

My first "home" in Okinawa was in Miyako-Island such a paradise!

金沢でCouch Surfingを始めたもののそんなにゲストも来なくて（ちっちゃいからね）
実際ホストをしっかりやり始めたのは沖縄に引越してからでした。

沖縄の離島、大きいくせにマイナーな“宮古島”！

もう、すっごいパラダイス！！！！！！！！

Yes, Miyako-island is famous about clear ocean coz it doesn't have any river so no dirt will go in to the ocean.
And all foundation are based in coral so sand is very white and heavy.

宮古島には川が一本も無いので、泥が海に流れ出さない
しかも土壌が珊瑚なので、砂が真っ白でしかも重いので水が濁りにくい

It's tiny island, round trip only 100km, so so easy to leach the beautiful beaches.
From city center, all the beaches can reach in 5 to 30 minute by car.

周囲100kmほどしか無いので中心市街地からはどのビーチもだいたい5分から30分で着いてしまう手軽さ



population is 55000 / The area of the land is 164 square kilometer.

People usually just likes chatting and drinking.

おしゃべりと飲むのが好き

Especially about drinking, it's so much famous even in Okinawa "the drinking islands".

飲むのについては、泡盛で有名な沖縄の中でもダントツw
